👋 Hi all, Chris here! I’m excited to get these emails coming more regularly. I was going to keep to my normal format of having content and deals in the same email, but I came across a last minute deal for free United Premier Silver status that expires today, so I wanted to get this to you sooner. Then on Thursday, I’ll follow up with a full newsletter that includes all the hacks you need to host an amazing cocktail party.
As always, please reply and let me know what you think of this email or if you know anyone that likes a deal, please consider sharing this with your friends, colleagues or family! Or if this was forwarded to you, you can subscribe below too!

🍻 All the Hacks SF Event on 11/30 (you’re invited!)
In Ep68 Nick Gray taught us how to throw an incredible 2-hour cocktail party that leads to making new friends and building great relationships. Ever since the episode, I’ve wanted to put the tactics to use and host an event. We’ll that day has come and I’m excited to be inviting everyone who has been supporting me and All the Hacks since starting last year (ie: you!).
So if you’ll be in SF on 11/30, please join me for the first event I’ve hosted in-person for a few years! I’m still working on the venue, but you can RSVP here and you’ll get an update as soon as I lock down the location. Hope to see you there!
💰 Latest Deals
There first deal is a bit timely, but the rest are absolutely worth sharing too!
🛩️ Free United Silver Status (today only)
Thanks to Bilt, everyone can get free United Premier Silver status for the next 120 days (or through 2024 if you take a few United flights). You don’t even need a Bilt card to be eligible, you just need to download the Bilt App, sign up for a free Bilt account, link your United Mileage Plus account and register for the promo.
With Premier Silver on United you’ll get free checked bags, priority seating, economy plus (at checkin) and more. We’re planning a trip on United in February and otherwise wouldn’t have any status, so I’m stoked about this deal! While you don’t need a Bilt Card to be eligible, it’s the best card out there for renters, so feel free to use my referral link if you want to get one.
💳 80,000 Points with New Chase Sapphire Reserve® Bonus
Chase has upped the signup bonus on the Sapphire Reserve (one of my favorite cards) and you can now get 80k points when you $4k spend in the first 3 months. If you don’t already have the card, it could be a great opportunity to boost your Chase point balance, not to mention it earns 3x on Travel/Dining and just having it makes your Chase points worth 1.5¢ in the portal (which means that 80k bonus is worth at least $1,200). Two things to keep in mind: 1) you can only have one Chase Sapphire card, so if you have already have a Preferred/Reserve, you may want to downgrade it to a Freedom Unlimited or Freedom Flex before applying and 2) you can only earn one Chase Sapphire bonus every 4 years, so if you’ve opened one in the last 48 months, then you should sit this one out. If you want to sign up, please consider signing up here to support me and All the Hacks.
🛍 Free $40 for New Rakuten Members
If you like earning free money when you shop online and don’t already have a Rakuten account, now is the time to get one. If you’re not familiar with Rakuten, when you shop at any retailer online after clicking through their links, you earn cash back or Amex points on your purchases (e.g. 8% back at Nike). To get a free $40 when you spend $40 online, sign up using this link.
💳 90,000 Points for Chase Ink Business Cash® + Unlimited®
This may be the best signup bonus I’ve ever seen on a no annual fee card (and will still work even if you’re not eligible for the Sapphire Reserve bonus). Note that this is a business card, but having a business can include anything from freelance income to selling things on eBay to driving for Lyft/Uber, so you might be more eligible than you think. Also, the bonus is marketed as $900, but as long as you already have a Chase Ultimate Rewards card (e.g. Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve) you can transfer the cash you earn to points (however, that is not true for the new Chase Ink Business Premier card). You’ll need to spend $6k in 3 months and if you want to sign up, you can support me and the show by doing it here (Ink Unlimited) or here (Ink Cash).
🛒 Amazon: $20 off for one Chase point
Until the end of the year, if you link your Chase Ultimate Rewards card to Amazon and enable paying with points, you can get 40% of an Amazon Purchase (up to $20). I don’t think Amazon purchases are a good use for Chase points, but you only need to use 1 point to get this deal, so it’s totally worth it. You can enroll here, and if you’re not eligible yet, make sure to click “enroll now”, follow the steps and check back tomorrow.
🔴 $80 Free at Target with the Red Card (debit card)
Until 12/10, if you get a Target Debit Card (link here), you’ll get a coupon for $40 off a purchase of $40+ (expires 1/9/23). Even better, the coupon works online AND in person, so you can actually redeem it twice, making it worth $80. You also earn 5% back on all Target purchases. But best of all, since this is a debit card, it won’t have any impact on your credit score or 5/24 status.
🛫 30% Transfer Bonus: Chase → Aeroplan + Virgin Atlantic
Right now, your Chase points can get your 30% further when you transfer to Air Canada or Virgin Atlantic. Air Canada’s Aeroplan is one of my favorite programs to book any award travel with and you can often book United flights for much less on Aeroplan (see this example from our trip to French Polynesia). As for Virgin Atlantic points, here’s a great post on some of their best uses. I don’t recommend transferring points to a specific airline until you have a redemption in mind, but if you have Chase points and want to plan a trip, now’s a great time to do it :)
